End-User License Agreement
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This agreement is between you and HopWire ("we") and covers the Hopwire desktop app, the Pico firmware it installs, their updates (together, "the Software") and the Hopwire Kit. By installing or using the Software you accept these terms.
1. Trial
You may use the Software free of charge for 14 days to evaluate it. After that, a license key is required.
2. Purchase
Licenses are sold per person, for one year: Personal (one person) and Business (the number of people you choose, for an organisation). Each purchase is a one-time payment in cryptocurrency. Nothing renews automatically; to keep using the Software after the year, buy another year. Your key is sent by e-mail once the payment has arrived.
3. License
For the period your key is valid we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Software for the number of people you paid for. The Personal plan covers one person on any number of their own computers. Commercial use requires a Business plan.
4. Restrictions
You may not sell, rent, share or publish license keys; reverse engineer, decompile or modify the Software except where the law expressly allows it; or remove notices from it. The Software is licensed, not sold.
5. The Kit
The Hopwire Kit is hardware you own once it's delivered. Consumers in the EU and UK can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery. Hardware defects are covered by statutory warranty.
6. Updates
A valid key includes all updates released during its period. The Software checks for signed updates online; you can switch this off in its settings.
7. Third-party components
The Software contains open-source components (raylib, raygui, miniaudio, Monocypher, the Inter typeface, and the Raspberry Pi pico-sdk and TinyUSB in the firmware) under their own licenses, which take precedence for those components.
8. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is". It sends keyboard and mouse input to another computer, so check what you are typing into. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid in the last 12 months.
